A Brief Personal Update

Following up on the ominous job-related news mentioned at the end of the last post, I have received confirmation that both my wife and I were laid off. These are rough economic times all around.

sorry to hear this. you should set up a paypal tip jar or something, i bet there's plenty of us out here who appreciate the work you do with the Chrono series and would help out a doctor in need.

Sorry to hear about the terrible news. I was recently laid off myself, and it's a pretty tough situation. Anyway, I just wanted to give my best wishes and sympathies. I really appreciate what you've been doing with the Chrontendo series.

Rough doings, been out of work for over a year myself. Hang in there on the hunt to come and best of luck in getting some solid footing again.

Man, I am sorry to hear that. But I think the idea with the PayPal tip jar is great. I already thought of how many hours of retro fun you bestowed upon us, and it would be just fair if we thank you a bit. I know you didn't do this for monetary value, but at least let us be grateful for your kindness.

That sucks. Sorry man. You should absolutely add a tip jar.

I agree with everyone else. You deserve some generosity back for all of the hours you've put into this fantastic series.

Yes, please consider the paypal link. Even if you're not 100% comfortable with it. Just consider it compensation for all the hard work you've put in to give us such enjoyment.

Dear everyone,

Thanks for all the kind words; I really appreciate it. Seriously, I'm very happy to know everyone cares. It's an emotional time for us, but we'll be fine. My wife, in particular, has been offered a very nice severance package. We live in California, the land of hope and dreams, the "Golden State", so we always have faith in the future. So thanks to the Helm, fuxter, qayllsand all the regular commenters. Brian and Alysandher: I wish you the best with your job situations.

As for Jo and everyone else, thank you for you offers, I am touched, but I must respectfully decline everyone's generosity.

Regarding Chrontendo, the terms of our severance practically forces us to spend a month not working. Hopefully, I can invest some of that time on new episodes.
